Badr University In Asyut (BUA)

IDG is the main consultant for BUA, located in New Assiut City where it’s surrounded by several activities: logistic services area, dry port, medical zone, touristic services, and various residential zones. The campus consists of three main zones: private university, international university & supporting activities such as a hotel, and students housing with a total footprint of 57845 m2. The university is being designed as a sustainable campus where the team is aiming for a green building certification (EDGE 20% or LEED Silver) in cooperation with EBRD.
IDG is responsible for the construction supervision of all trades.

Airport City:
The airport city model considers the idea that an airport can do more than perform its traditional aeronautical services. the land holdings surrounding airports can present investment opportunities generating new sources of revenue for the airport operator and make the airport a business or tourism destination in its own right.

Logistics city:
City Logistics enables urban freight mobility through the transportation of goods by or for commercial entities taking place in an urban area. It is a strategy ensuring efficient freight movements and innovative responses to urban customer and business demands.

Free Zone:
Free economic zones (FEZ), a class of special economic zone (SEZ) are designated areas in which companies are taxed very lightly or not at all to encourage economic activity, mostly for foreign investors.

Cargo:
The goods or merchandise conveyed in a ship, airplane, or vehicle

Light Industry:
Industries that usually are less capital-intensive and more consumer-oriented than business-oriented, as they typically produce smaller consumer goods. Most light industry products are produced for end users rather than as intermediates for use by other industries .
